Investment Advisor Representative & Director of Marketing

A long time ago… a really long time ago… back when we wearing face masks and keeping our distance from one another and were all just thankful that the vaccine had come out and was working… so far back, in fact, that you might think “That’s really not that long ago” but then you’ll look at everything that’s happened since then and think “It’s really been that long?!” as you realize just how much time has passed… THAT long ago, I passed the Series 65 exam to be an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR). Since I had already obtained my life & health insurance license well before COVID, what earning the 65 meant was that I would take on some duties as an investment advisor. Like Peter, like Rob, like Kyle, and like Mike… only with the added advantage of a law degree on top of it. I would be able to leverage my extensive education and unique skills into the day-to-day operations of the advisory business, helping clients like yourself with retirement and income planning.
But I couldn’t do that until we had someone to run the marketing portion of Franklin Retirement.
Well, if you’ve been to any of our recent events, you know we have someone to run the marketing portion of Franklin Retirement. Jennifer Senzick. Jen came on board back in April from a background of corporate retail management, including running her own business and stepping in to help her husband run his. She has a great creative eye, is organized to the nth degree, and has been a fantastic asset to the marketing arm of Franklin Retirement. So if you haven’t met her already, make sure you find her and tell her how good a job she’s doing at the next event.
Also, be sure to tell Mike Hart congratulations. After 15 months of studying, Mike took—and passed—the exam to be a Certified Financial Planner™ this week. With that designation, he joins Robert Quittner as the only two CFP®s we have on staff here at Franklin. In case you’re wondering, Certified Financial Planner™ is a designation awarded to those individuals with financial planning, taxes, insurance, and estate planning expertise who complete the CFP Board’s initial exam and continue ongoing annual education programs to sustain their skills and certification. It’s not an easy designation to earn, and it’s not an education entered into lightly. It was a lot of hard work, so Mike definitely earned it.
Welcome Jen and congrats to Mike. Both of you are making Franklin Retirement better in your own ways!
