We’re excited to welcome Austin Devlin to the team as our newest Associate Advisor! As he continues getting up to speed and meeting more of our clients, we thought it’d be the perfect time to help you get to know him a little better. From his experience in the industry to what he enjoys outside of work, here’s a quick look at Austin beyond the title.
What is your role here, and what will you be working on?
I have the privilege of working closely with clients and their families every day, educating and guiding them throughout their retirement journey. I meet with clients regularly to discuss key aspects of their financial lives, including investments, insurance, taxes, estate planning, and Social Security. Most importantly, I focus on helping them enjoy retirement to the fullest through thoughtful, sound planning, in hopes they can live with confidence and full autonomy over their time.
What drew you to this company?
After running my own financial planning practice for the past 8½ years, I realized that the aspects of the business I enjoyed most weren’t the day-to-day operations, but the moments spent sitting across from clients. My goal was to find a firm that truly prioritizes its clients above all else. A place where people go beyond the standard, not just to support me in my efforts, but to serve clients at the highest level. I was also looking for a team with a genuine, family-like culture. I can say with complete confidence I have found that at Franklin Retirement Solutions.
What’s one goal you hope to accomplish in your first year?
While I have my Series 6 and 63 securities licenses, my goal is to pass the Series 65 in the next few months and continue to learn as much as possible from Peter, Rob and the other knowledgeable advisors that I have around me.
Where did you work before this, and what did you do?
I previously ran my own practice under Northwestern Mutual. I started my career there as an intern while in college back in 2017 and my team and I continued to services clients for the next 8 years before I made the transition to FRS.
What inspired you to pursue your career path?
I learned from a young age after watching both of my parents struggle through a tough economic downturn around 2008 that most people don’t have the knowledge or resources to set themselves up for retirement early in life. Becoming a financial advisor has allowed me to educate my friends, family, and clients on how to navigate the complexities of financial planning and help put their minds at ease.
Where did you grow up and go to school?
I grew up in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, and attended Bucks County Technical High School, where I studied carpentry. I later graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Finance and Financial Planning.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love exercising, playing, and watching sports especially Philly sports teams! I typically enjoy baseball, football and basketball but love all sports. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, girlfriend Gina and other friends. I also play in a softball league and golf when I can find the time.

What is a motto you live by?
Live every day with a purpose, as if it is your last.
It’s clear he’s eager to meet more of you, hear your stories, and support you in reaching your financial goals with confidence. We’re excited to have him at Franklin Retirement Solutions and have no doubt he’ll help make the retirement journey smooth, rewarding—and even a little fun along the way.
